Mary’s brother-in-law, Francis (Gus) Doyle and sister-in-law, Madalen Mckenna joined many of her nieces and nephews including the Milauskas, Pease, Konstantas, Doyle and Mckenna families in giving Mary a surprise Christmas party. Mary, who had recently made her new home at St. Elizabeth’s, was gifted an Ipad by all the family to help her stay in touch with all her treasured family. Through prayer, intercessions, alms and visits to cemeteries, people commemorate the poor souls in purgatory and gain them indulgences.-Wikipedia 2022.

Blessing of the Graves
At noon on April 30, 2023 a Blessing of the Graves ceremony officiated by Father Michael Murphy at New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, Md took place following a mass held at St. Joseph’s Monastery-3801 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, MD. The newly installed marker was to honor our ancestor James Grace and his descendants. James came from Ireland about 1850 and made this country his new homeland. There are seven of our family interred at this site. The previous marker held only the name “James Grace”. The new marker contains the names of all those buried there with him. You can read more about that in the family history book page, James Grace~The Beginning.

Special Mass for
Anne Grace-Konstantas
On Thursday, October 26th at 10:00am, many family members gathered at St. Clement’s Church, 2700 Washington Avenue, Lansdowne, Md to celebrate a special private Mass to honor the memory of Anne Veronica Grace-Konstantas who went home to the Lord 40 years ago on this day. The Mass was a beautiful tribute to an incredible woman. All of Anne and George’s children arranged and participated in the Mass. Joanne, Sandy, George, Kathy, Clare and Margaret did a wonderful job. An area just inside the church entrance was arranged with tables displaying photos of special family memories. It was emotional at times, but still a joy to be part of honoring and celebrating our Aunt Anne’s life and enhance our memories. It was an awesome thing to see the torch/legacy our grandparents (John J. and Margaret Grace) left to us still being carried. Families like ours are not often seen anymore.
