Mary was the daughter of Mary Goeller-Tayman (sister of Margaret Goeller) and a first cousin to our Grace parents and one of only three family elders that were still with us in 2023. She was an accomplished woman. She raised six children with her husband, Tom and ran a successful catering business for many years which she started from scratch.

On July 23, 2023, we visited Mary at her home in Havre De Grace for a luncheon and an afternoon of reminiscing. She shared many happy and sad memories and the old family photos while we interviewed her. With her permission, we recorded that interview for posterity. It is almost three hours long and a treasure for family historians.

She offered to let us take all her photos; but we only took a couple of dozen because it does take some time to scan, retouch and archive them and we had planned to return them on another visit before Christmas. Sadly, Mary passed on December 9, 2023 surrounded by her family.

We were able to return those precious photos to her family and hope that one day her family will share the rest of her photo collection. For now, these are what we have. Thank you Mary!
